How they work
We designed our lures in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors that hammered fish from the knee-deep flats to the bottom of the shelves, deep reefs, and structure. Successful anglers demand versatility, and Snapper Slapper lures – squid heads and flashy metal jigs – can be speed jigged to imitate an escaping baitfish or slow pitched to resemble an injured bait. Troll ‘em for fast pelagics or send ‘em deep for bottom dwellers.
The Classic Snapper Slapper movement is created by the squid-style wings on their jig heads. Those wings slow down the lures’ fall and give them a sexy side-to-side flutter, a sweeping movement that attracts fish. The unique head adds stability while trolling, too. Snapper Slapper squid head classics are a go-to lure that catches loads of species of inshore and offshore fish. Double assist hooks can bring ‘em up two at a time.
Slapper Heavy Metal lures are ideal for anglers targeting deep reefs and structure. Some styles feature a keel and centered weight that cause them to drop horizontally with a flutter and vibrating action that demand attention and are often hit on the drop. Some drop super-fast and jig aggressively, some wobble and resemble injured baitfish. The two-sided, lighter/darker combos and the glow-in-the-dark finishes flash as they flutter on the way down and soak up available light at deep depths to prompt strikes. Styles with two assist hooks can catch two of ‘em at a time, so get cranking!
